The Road to Towanda is a theatrical production that premiered at the 2015 Ithaca Fringe Festival, at which it won the prestigious Andrew D. Dixon Award for “the performance which best exemplifies the spirit of living life to its fullest.”
It tells the story of three hapless vaudevillians who have been working together for many years, but have never really made it big. They meet now to rehearse a new show for their upcoming performance at the American Legion Hall in Towanda, Pennsylvania. With the rumor that a talent scout from the Catskills may be attending, they must create the best show of their lives. This could be their big break! Read a review.
